1. Getting Started

Out & About is a travel and discovery platform that helps you explore cities through interactive maps, audio tours, and curated points of interest. Download the app, create an account, and start exploring.

2. Account & Login

If you're having trouble with your account:

  • Forgot your password? Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and we'll send a reset link to your email
  • Can't sign in? Make sure you're using the same email address you registered with
  • Delete your account: Contact us at support@outandabout.world and we'll process your request within 48 hours

3. Audio Tours

Audio tours are narrated walking routes through cities and districts, available in multiple languages.

  • Purchasing tours: Browse available tours on the map, add them to your basket, and complete your purchase
  • Accessing purchased tours: Once purchased, your tours are permanently unlocked and accessible from your profile
  • Audio not playing? Check that your device volume is up and that silent mode is off. Ensure you have a stable internet connection for the first play
  • Languages: Tours are available in English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and Portuguese

4. Deep Dive Subscription

Deep Dive is our premium subscription that unlocks advanced features:

  • Live GPS location tracking on the map
  • AI-powered travel Q&A
  • City and country audio overviews
  • AI route planner and personalised suggestions
  • Unlimited point-of-interest audio

Your subscription is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. To manage or cancel your subscription, visit your device's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play).

5. Payments & Refunds

  • Payment methods: We accept payments through the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), and Stripe (web)
  • Refund requests: For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, please request a refund through the respective store. For web purchases, contact us at support@outandabout.world
  • Redeem codes: If you received a purchase code via email, go to the Redeem page in the app and enter your code

6. Maps & Location

  • Map not loading? Check your internet connection and try refreshing the app
  • Location not accurate? Ensure location services are enabled for Out & About in your device settings
  • Points of interest missing? Our map data is regularly updated. If you notice something missing, let us know
